Draw inspiration from your favourite scary film, stories or get creative with the traditional jack-o’-lantern face to make it bone-chilling. We’ll leave the scary pumpkin carving up to you!

FUNNIEST

We do love a good scare, but more than that, we love a good laugh! How will you design your pumpkin to make us LOL? All kinds of funny are invited here…funny movie characters, book characters, sayings/puns, anecdotes, pop culture references, goofy grins... Get clever and you’re sure to make us laugh!

BEST OVERALL

For best overall, we’re looking for fine craftsmanship, thoughtful design and overall ingenuity. “Wow, look at this one!”, is the reaction you’re going for. Anything goes and whether you’ve painted, carved or designed your pumpkin using extra materials, you will definitely impress!

Put on your out-of-the-box thinking, over-the-top creative hat for this one! There’s no holding back. How can you take your pumpkin carving to the next level and really impress? Calling all our budding artists, aged 10 and under, to show off their spooktacular creativity in our "Little Goblins' Masterpieces" category! This is the perfect category for our youngest pumpkin enthusiasts, where imagination knows no bounds. We want to see the most adorable, whimsical, and imaginative pumpkin carvings that your little ones can conjure up. Whether it's a friendly ghost, a goofy monster, a cute kitty, or any other fantastic creation, we encourage all our little Picassos to bring their pumpkin masterpieces to life. Our judges will be looking for the most inventive and age-appropriate designs that showcase your child's artistic flair.
