GRIMSBY GLOWS ANNUAL PUMPKIN PARADE

The Rotary Club of Grimsby, with the support of the Town of Grimsby, is proud to present the first ever GRIMSBY GLOWS - Pumpkin Parade! We are inviting the citizens of Grimsby and surrounding West Niagara to walk the path in Coronation Park from Main St. to Elm St. and view 400+ carved jack-o-lanterns lining the brick walkway.

Individuals and various groups in the local area are encouraged to drop off their carved and decorated pumpkins (especially the ones that graced front entrances on Halloween) between 10:30AM-4:00PM on event day, Wednesday, November 1st  in the Elm St. parking lot. Volunteers will line them up along the path.

Enjoy light refreshments and take Halloween selfies at the photo stations and in front of Fall harvest displays. Be sure to visit our fortune teller as well.  A wonderful way to end off spooky season!

The Rotary Club of Grimsby has been active in town and the surrounding area for over 40+ years.  We have organized community events like the Festival of Arts, Fantasy of Trees, and the Great Lakes Watershed clean-up just to name a few.

How We Can All Best Enjoy the GRIMSBY GLOWS Pumpkin Parade This Year

Accessible Parking
Grimsby Glows offers limited accessible parking in the lot off Elm Street beside the pool. This space will be marshaled and those with Accessibility/Volunteer stickers will be prioritized for this space.

Jack-o’-lantern Drop-Off
To ensure your pumpkins are proudly displayed on event night (or will be composted), drop them off at the pool parking lot between 10:30AM and 4:00PM on November 1. Please consider the pathway to be a two-way street and mind the arrows drawn on the pathway. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that any jack-o-lanterns delivered after 4:00PM will be placed in the parade.

Painted Pumpkins Are Welcome
If you are painting your pumpkin, please make sure the paint will not run if it rains or is dewy. We are an outdoor event only.

Connect with Event Marshals
If you have any issues or need assistance, please do not hesitate to connect with one of our event marshals who will be wearing safety vests with the Grimsby Glows logo. The marshals are here to help everyone enjoy the event and they may direct the flow of traffic along the pathway.

Respect for All
Treat everyone with kindness and respect. We’re all here to celebrate and have fun together.

Pumpkin Carving Contest
If you'd like to participate in the jack-o-lantern carving contest, make sure to let us know during drop off so we can put it in the right spot. This year's categories include: Spookiest, Funniest, Most Unique, Best Overall and Little Goblins' Masterpieces (for children 10 and under) and Vibrant Visions: Painted Pumpkins. We can't wait to see your creative designs!

Capture the Memories
Enjoy the fantastic pumpkin displays and feel free to take selfies at the stations, photos, and share your magical moments with #GrimsbyGlows2023.

Respect the Inflatables/Fall Setups/Pumpkins on Display
Please refrain from stepping on, hitting or damaging any holiday inflatables and fall displays along the parade route and within Coronation Park. Please keep all pumpkins where they have been placed on the path and within the park. Please be cognizant of the cords that hold up the inflatables. Let's keep the festive spirit alive!

Share the Pathway
We are anticipating another crowded night (woohoo!), so be considerate of fellow attendees. Share the pathway and help create a harmonious atmosphere for all.

General Parking
Find the various town and street parking available around Coronation Park on the Parking Map . Please avoid the vendors’ parking lots so they may continue to conduct their business, while you enjoy the Glow!!

Have Fun and Enjoy the Glow
Take photos, videos and stop to admire all the pumpkins carved by our incredible community!

Thank you for being part of our Grimsby Glows Pumpkin Parade.
Your cooperation ensures a memorable and enjoyable experience for all.
We can't wait to see everyone!

We love our furry four-legged besties as much as you do, and we will be happy to see them participate in the pumpkin parade festivities as well! However, because this event will take place in the evening after the sun goes down and there will be many treats, smells, crowds and excited/excitable children of all ages around, we do have a few requests if your pup is coming along with you.

1.  All dogs must be on a tight, non-extending leash at all times.

2. All visitors who have a pet are requested to walk on the grass next to path and leave the brick walkway and the area directly beside the jack-o’-lanterns open to the other visitors.

Are you thinking of bringing your dog (big or small) to view the glowing pumpkins?

Our biggest priority is ensuring everyone feels safe and that everyone is safe during our very first Grimsby Glows Pumpkin Parade! We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in all of this. Thank you!
